Returning from their weekend away, Mia is closer to Chloe than ever, but she’s still keeping a big secret from her daughter in Home And Away this week.
Chloe’s (Sam Barrett) father Matthew (James Sweeny) has arrived and is keen to meet the child he never knew he had. He threatens to tear down Mia’s (Anna Samson) world if she doesn’t help.
“Mia is in utter shock that the past has resurfaced in Summer Bay,” Anna tells TV WEEK. “This is a man she thought she had left behind for good, and for good reason. She finds the idea of him being in their life terrifying. She could not be more against the idea.”
With Theo (Matt Evans) and Ryder (Lukas Radovich) still both vying for her attention, Chloe has enough on her mind to be distracted from Mia’s lie.
She soon finds herself trapped in yet another battle between the two young men when Theo pesters Mia and Ari (Rob Kipa-Williams) about Chloe, then shows up on her doorstep.
Meanwhile, Mia spots Matthew as he leaves the gym and confronts him, demanding he leave the Bay forever. She insists Chloe isn’t interested in meeting him, but in doing so, Mia accidentally reveals her name. He agrees to go.
“Mia doesn’t like or trust Matthew,” Anna explains. “She knew it was for the best that he wasn’t part of her or her daughter’s life.”
Before he can leave, however, Matthew hears Irene (Lynne McGranger) call Chloe’s name and, for the first time, he sees his daughter.
Thinking she’s helping, Irene hands Matthew one of Chloe’s cards with all her contact details and suddenly he’s more determined than ever to meet.
But Mia has a card of her own to play: she declares she didn’t give her consent the night Chloe was conceived. And if Matthew tries to come between her and her daughter, she’ll make sure everyone knows the truth.
