And it seems returning to Summer Bay wouldn’t be out of the question for Lincoln, if the opportunity arose in the future.

In fact, speaking to Neighbours star Takaya Honda in his video series Tak Talks, Lincoln revealed he even went as far as asking producers for his old role back.

“I actually pitched a storyline for the Home and Away producers at the start of the year about reprising Geoff, but they ghosted me!” Lincoln said.

“But it is what it is, that’s the industry. That’s just like going for an audition, you don’t hear back. That’s the way it goes.”

During the candid chat, Lincoln also shared that he was offered a one-year contract on rival soap Neighbours in 2012 after filming a guest role, but turned it down.

The actor explained that although he was enjoying his time on Ramsay Street, it was bad timing, as Lincoln planned to head Stateside in a bid to crack Hollywood and also had several other projects – including Bait and Slide – on the go at the same time.

“So to sign a contract, I was just like… I just had spent three years at Home and Away as well. I kind of was just looking for some roles to diversify,” he said.

Lincoln has previously shared how tough the acting industry is in Hollywood.

“The industry is based on rejections. So, you’ve just got to take it for what it is. The best thing you can do is just be prepared and you get there and you just give it your all,” he told Daily Mail Australia in 2018.

“It can get you down. It’s your dream. You put your heart and soul into it. But it is one of those things where [rejection makes you] doubt yourself.”
