Having sadly farewelled not one but two Home And Away favourites this year already with Willow, played by Sarah Roberts, and Colby, played by Tim Franklin, leaving, it was only a matter of time before Summer Bay got a new batch of arrivals.
And now, we know exactly who they (yes there’s TWO) are.
Former Victoria Secret model and actress Laura McDonald has confirmed she is joining the cast alongside actor Jaime Robbie Reyne, also known as JR.
Speaking to the Daily Telegraph Laura not only revealed both she and JR would be making the move to Summer Bay but spilled on some of her “real and raw” storyline.
“We definitely delve into disordered eating for sure,” Laura said before adding she didn’t think she would land the role.
“I am a 25-year-old size 10 woman, so when this audition brief came to me I kind of assumed I was past it age-wise.
“[I’m] also just not in the right size bracket to even be considered for the role. They have done an amazing job.”
Fellow newcomer JR is no stranger to Aussie soaps having appeared on hit shows such as Winners & Losers, The Secret Daughter and Neighbours.
The 35-year-old memorable played Erinsborough High School hunk and captain of the football team, Taj Coppin, from 2002 to 2004.
One of Taj’s more memorable storylines came opposite Delta Goodrem, who famously played Nina Tucker on the show, as her love interest.
