For over a decade now Home And Away fans have come to love bubbly and beautiful Georgie Parker who plays iconic character Roo Stewart.
Joining the show in 2010 to take on the feisty daughter of Summer Bay stalwart Alf, Georgie was the second actress to play Roo after Justine Clarke, who left in 1989.
Nonetheless she’s made quite the mark on fans and co-stars, celebrating 10 years with the soap in October.
Now her fellow Summer Bay residents are paying tribute to her on a very special, albeit different kind of milestone – her 56th birthday.
Emily Symons kicked off the celebration early taking Georgie out to lunch in Sydney.
“Thanks for my beautiful, early, birthday lunch @emilysymons_” Georgie wrote alongside a cute snap of the two near the Sydney Harbour Bridge.
Emily followed up with another series of gorgeous pics with her co-star to mark the actual day, and the friendship goals are next level.
“Happy birthday to my ride or die @georgieparker 💖 Love you 💞” she shared.
Patrick O’Connor, who plays Dean on the show, praised Georgie’s love for photo taking with a cheeky selfie.
“Happy birthday GP 🎉 long live our selfie game,” he wrote.
Of course, the official Home And Away Instagram page also shared a birthday dedication to Georgie which was met with plenty more well wishes from fans and co-stars.
“Wooooo happy birthday,” Rob Kipa-Williams commented before Luke Jacobz added: “Happy birthday Georgie!”
Georgie’s on-screen love Evan/Owen aka Cameron Daddo also shared a sweet post for the big day.
“Happy Birthday @georgieparker sending you luuuurve and kissssshhes! Who’s buying you coffee today???? Weak Almond Latte… coming right up! ❤️🙌”
Ada also added a cheeky post as the cast film their last scenes for the year today.
“Happy birthday @georgieparker have a fun location day today with 100% humidity 😄” she captioned.
Speaking to TV WEEK for the Home And Away Christmas special Georgie spoke of her love for Roo, having played her for a decade now.
“Time has flown by! I love this character; she’s so spirited,” she says.
“Playing Alf Stewart’s daughter, I’m also tethered to a much-loved man. I adore Ray, we get along so well and he’s truly the beating heart of the show.”
