For decades, fans have tuned in as Marlyin Chambers tries to find her happily ever after.
Over the years, she’s seen marriages with the likes of Phil Bryant (Vince Martin) and Donald Fisher (Norman Coburn) crumble while most recently, she suffered another heartbreaking blow after her third marriage to John Palmer (Shane Withington) came crashing down.
But as the dust settles on their sad split, the bubbly blonde is finally ready to dip her toe back into the dating world.
Marlyin tries her hand at an online dating app, only to accidentally match with none other than her ex-husband John!
And it turns out, the men’s profiles who popped up on screen before John’s were in fact some of the crew members who work on the show.
“We had lots of fun with this! 💖 Maz ventures into online dating and accidentally matches with her ex husband 😱😂,” the star explained via her Instagram page, alongside a video of the hilarious scene.
“Fun fact: all the matches were our lovely crew members 😎 I’m looking at you @scottmgsinclair @bobmiller17 @matthewtgrossman @adrian.valero Well played @gregstone7 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼Thank you for this @haa.mv 💖,” Emily revealed.
Emily Symons has shed some fascinating insights into one particular scene which aired on the soapie this week.

“Some much needed hilarity,” Lynne McGranger, who plays Irene Roberts, said.
“Hahahaaaa! This is the best! Also, Em you are so brilliantly funny… you constantly make me laugh out loud,” Penny McNamee, who plays Dr Tori Morgan, explained.
“This is brilliant,” former Home And Away star Erika Heynatz admitted.

Marilyn and John’s marriage broke down earlier in the year.

“It’s like a real marriage. We have been doing a lot of sad stories, with the hospital siege and then Marilyn having PTSD.”
She explained that the emotional storyline was a “natural progression” for the pair.
“We didn’t need to prepare because the relationship had been disintegrating for quite a while,” the 51-year-old admitted.
“It’s very sad because the joyous and funny scenes that we used to do have all dried up.”
