After the trauma of their first derailed wedding almost split them up, Felicity and Tane are finally on solid ground.
But this week, Felicity tempts fate and proposes – leaving Tane stunned.
In Home and Away, Felicity (Jacqui Purvis) wears her heart on her sleeve, telling Tane (Ethan Browne) she wants a fresh start.
The fallout from their failed wedding, which put multiple lives on the line in a horrific car accident, may never completely heal, but Flick is ready to move on.
In recent months, Flick believed the crash was her fault and numbed her guilt with alcohol.
But her lies stacked up and she fled town, leaving Tane heartbroken.
While she was away, Flick visited home – another source of past trauma – and tried to resolve her problems.
Commitment has always been a concern for Flick, but is she finally ready?
”She was afraid of commitment because she didn’t want to be let down or hurt like she was when her father committed suicide,” Jacqui tells TV WEEK.
”In her eyes he gave up and just left. So, she didn’t want to feel that pain again. But now she has gained some clarity and closure on her dad’s death, she is ready.”
Now back in Summer Bay, Flick realizes how much she loves Tane, and they reunite.
Careful not to scare her off again, Tane is happy to go slow.
That is until Flick, on bended knee, asks for a second chance to be his bride.
”Will you marry me?” she asks, holding out a ring.
Tane is shocked. He has wanted this for so long, but now the moment is here, he can’t think straight.
Plus, Flick’s history of running still looms in his mind.
Will he say yes?
