Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are already introducing their newborn son Archie to many things the world has to offer, but there’s one thing they’ll be wanting to keep front-of-mind for him as he grows up – his grandmother, the late Princess Diana.
Indeed Harry himself has been vocal about the loss of his mother, and how that’s impacted the way he wants to bring up his own son.
And a new revelation has proved just how important Diana’s influence on the royal really is – and it’s being passed onto Archie in the most heartwarming way.
Back in May, just days after the birth of Archie, Prince Harry opened up about parenting, and how the passing of Diana affected him.
“[Prince Harry] said missing a mother is like missing some kind of security, how you need that as a son and it falls away when you lose your mother,” a guest who spoke to Harry at the event explained.
“He said he meets a lot of people in his work who have lost a mother, father, sister, brother or relatives and when he hears their story, as he heard my story, he said he doesn’t feel so alone.”
Now, Harry, and indeed his wife Meghan both seem keen to ensure young Archie never feels alone when it comes to the amazing late Princess of Wales’ influence by adding a sweet addition to his room.
According to a new report from US Weekly, the Sussexes keep a picture of Diana in Archie’s nursery at their home Frogmore Cottage in Windsor.
A source explained the beautiful tribute to the publication, adding that Harry gets “very emotional” when talking about his mother.
“One of the things that first attracted Harry to Meghan was the way her kindness, determination and strength reminded him so much of his mum.”
It seems Archie is most definitely surrounded by influential women.
The 22nd anniversary of Diana’s passing occurred on August 31, and both Harry and brother Prince William get together for it each year, according to the publication.
The source continued to explain that the brothers like to talk about their fondest memories with the Princess, including the ski trips and visiting amusement park Thorpe Park.
“The effort she went to on their birthdays — all of it,” the source said.
The insider also claimed the brothers meet on their own to begin with, before being later joined by their wives and their children.

In August, the Daily Mail reported that Harry would take Meghan on an emotional “pilgrimage” to Diana’s grave.
The Duchess of Sussex has not yet visited the grave, according to the publication, with a source claiming: “Harry wants Meghan to see his mother’s resting place.”
In July, Prince William surprised fans who had gathered outside Kensington Palace in a silent vigil on what would have been Diana’s 58th birthday.
The guests, who regularly convene in the spot each year, were surprised when the Prince stepped out unannounced to greet them and shake their hands.
According to the Daily Mail, who obtained images from the moment, it was an incredibly moving scene.
“I’m still shaking now. I feel very emotional,” one fan, John Loughrey told the publication.
“William told me he knew we’d been coming here for years and thanked us for what we were doing for his mother.”
It seems both royal brothers have their own, beautiful ways of sharing in their late mother’s memory with others who were touched by her.
