This year Australia’s most iconic ABC kids show, Play School, turned 55 years old.

The show began in 1966, and it has been known for showcasing some of the country’s most talented actors.

Over the years, creators Deborah Mailman, Miranda Tapsell, Hugh Sheridan and Justine Clarke have appeared on the hit show.

Of course, most kids were more interested in Big Ted, Little Ted, Jemima, and Humpty.

But now that so many of us are big kids, we can appreciate some of our favourite Aussie actors who took on the wholesome project.

Georgie, who starred on the program for six years, shared a few pictures from her time on the show to commemorate its big birthday.

Her former co-star Jay Laga’aia, Big Ted, and Jemima are featured in one photo taken on the Play School set.

In another picture, Andrew McFarlane makes an appearance beside the Home and Away actor, as they seem to teach kids about gardening.

Georgie captioned the vintage throwbacks, “Playschool is 55 years old, and I was lucky enough to be a part of it for 6 years.”

She dedicated the rest of the post to honour the gratitude she feels towards the ABC mainstay, which has a special place in her heart.

“I loved every minute of it. Who remembers this iconic show? 💜,” she asked her followers.

Aussie actor Demi Harman commented on the post, and she wrote, “Love it! And obviously, you! It would be a dream job! 😍 xx.”

Georgie replied, “@demharm love back to you ❤️❤️.”

In the comment section, fans couldn’t help but feel excited about the pictures as they reminisced on the show.

There are two very apparent details to take from this post.

One, that Play School has a special space in all our hearts, and two, Georgie hasn’t aged a day.
