She’s played the role of the bubbly yet ditsy Marilyn on and off since 1989 and it’s clear actress Emily Symons’ Home And Away family have formed a strong bond with the star during her impressive stint on the show.
On Monday August 10, the performer rung in her 51st birthday and her co-stars were quick to send their love to the star on her special day.
Leading the tributes was Emily’s good friend and co-star Georgie Parker, who plays Roo Stewart on the show.
In a heartfelt post, Georgie uploaded a beautiful album of photos celebrating her friendship with the birthday girl.
“How much do I 💜 thee? Let me count the ways… better still, I’ll take you to lunch 🍷🥂🎂. Happiest of birthdays to this amazing woman and friend. Hope you’ve had a beautiful day darling Em 💗🌸💗,” Georgie shared.

In the snaps, fans were given a behind-the-scenes glimpse into Emily and Georgie’s on-set fun with co-stars like Cameron Daddo, Lynne McGranger and Ada Nicodemou.
Clearly touched by her friend’s tribute, Emily commented under the post: “Where would I be without you my beautiful friend… thank you for the kind birthday wishes.”
While Emily’s Home And Away pals Cameron Daddo and Lynne McGranger showed their support by double-tapping Georgie’s upload.
Meanwhile Lynne McGranger, who plays Irene on the soapie, took to her Instagram account to share a sweet snap of herself with Emily and Ada hanging out at the diner.
“Happy birthday lovely @emilysymons_ Party hard girlie🍷🍷🍷🎂🎉,” the actress said.

The mother-of-one was quickly inundated with love from fans and thanked them for their well-wishes, writing: “Thank you for your birthday wishes and kind words 🤗.”
Looking back on her long-running role, the legendary actress says there are many standout memories from her time on the show, including working with “beautiful” Kate Ritchie, who played Sally.
“There are lovely memories of the kids I’ve worked with over the years. I thought I was a kid myself then,” she told TV WEEK in 2019.
“I enjoyed the storylines with Mat Stevenson [as Adam]. Marilyn and Donald getting married was obviously a really big chapter, and a really happy one. Isla [Fisher, who played Shannon] was so funny and lovely and we all had so much fun.”
