Duchess Catherine has stepped out for the opening of the annual School Leaders Forum in London, run by the children’s mental-health charity Place2Be.

The 35-year-old — who is pregnant with her third child, due in April — opted for an a-line, plum coloured dress by Goat for the engagement. Of course, all eyes were on the royal’s growing baby bump which was visible beneath the billowy look.

The mum to Prince George, four, and Princess Charlotte, two, delivered a powerful speech at the event on the importance of providing adequate mental-health care in schools. She also revealed that after months of extreme morning sickness or ‘hyperemesis gravidarum,’ she’s now well enough to attend George’s school drop-off.

A large crowd turned out to catch a glimpse of the royal — and her baby bump!

During the event, Kate took the time to speak to those involved with the wonderful charity.

“As a mother just getting used to leaving my own child at the school gates, it is clear to me that it takes a whole community to help raise a child,” the royal said.

She added: “Whether we are school leaders, teachers, support staff or parents – we’re all in this together. We are all working to give children the emotional strength they need to face their futures and thrive.”

Sadly, the Duchess was too poorly to attend George’s first day of school in September.

And pop! Kate’s growing baby bump was visible beneath her loose fitting ensemble.

Kate’s outing comes the morning after she attended a gala event for another mental health charity, the Anna Freud National Centre for Children and Families.

Attending the glittering dinner at Kensington Palace, the pregnant royal looked stunning in a black lace Diane von Furstenberg Zarita dress that highlighted her tiny baby bump. Prince Harry’s girlfriend Meghan Markle happens to own a shorter, navy version of the designer gown.

As she mingled across the floor, many royal watchers remembered that they first saw Kate in the black frock back in December 2014, when she was pregnant with Charlotte.

The soon-to-be-mum-of-three has been a long time royal patron for the Anna Freud National Centre for Children and Families. The organisation aims to help those who are battling mental health challenges.

Earlier this year she dropped by their Early Years Parenting HQ, where she learned how they aid families with young kids under the age of five.

At the time, the head of the charity Peter Fonagy mused, “She knew exactly what these mums were talking about — about children not sleeping and how stressful it is to try and bring up small children.”

“All the mums said how much she talked to them as just another mum.”
