And there’s one particularly impressive detail that has, so far, managed to slip under the radar… a certain push present.

The Duchess of Cambridge made a stunning appearance at the royal wedding over the weekend in a creamy, pale-yellow Alexander McQueen dress — a look we’ve seen from the master of sustainable fashion three times previously. She accessorised the look with a pretty floral headpiece, eggshell-coloured pumps and — as eagled-eyed fans have only now picked up — a massive new ring on her right hand.

The large citrine rock appears to be new to the beloved royal’s collection, and outlets are now speculating whether the sparkling gem was a push present from Prince William, in celebration of their third child, Prince Louis, who was born on April 23.

Fittingly, the brilliant yellow-hued stone is actually symbolic of new life and energy.

The push present — basically a gift a woman receives from her husband, partner, or father of her child after giving birth and enduring a never-ending hormonal rollercoaster — certainly follows a longstanding tradition for the royal couple.

Following the birth of Prince George in 2013, the duchess received a diamond eternity ring from her adoring husband, while the 2015 birth of Princess Charlotte saw a new pair of green tourmaline and green amethyst oval drop earrings added to the royal mum’s glittering arsenal.

Prince Louis was born at 11:01am on Monday the 23rd of April, tipping the scales as the heaviest royal baby in 100 years weighing a very healthy 3.8-kilograms. He is fifth in line to the British throne.

Kensington Palace confirmed the Duchess was in labour at 08:23am in the morning, London time via Twitter in a statement which read: “Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge was admitted to St. Mary’s Hospital, Paddington, London earlier this morning in the early stages of labour.”

“The Duchess travelled by car from Kensington Palace to the Lindo Wing at St. Mary’s Hospital with The Duke of Cambridge.”

A huge congratulations once again to whole happy new family-of-five on the safe arrival of their newest little prince!
