Talk about making an entrance!
All eyes were on Duchess Catherine as she and her husband Prince William attended a glamorous reception in their honour on Monday evening.
Kate commanded the room as she waltzed into British Columbia’s Government House wearing a scarlet cocktail dress.
The midi dress, by London designer Preen, features an asymmetrical neckline and pulls into the waist before dropping in a dramatic A-line skirt, cut with pleats to sit just before the ankle.
The beautiful gown, which will no doubt sell out in a matter of hours, is titled by the British brand as the Finella Midi Dress, and has a price tag of £1000 or $1,800 AUD.
Prince George and Princess Charlotte’s mother accessorised her look with a pair of red, suede Miu Miu pumps and a matching clutch.
She kept her jewellery simple with a pair of stunning drop earrings, and for the second time since touching down in Canada, the 34-year-old donned The Queen’s diamond Maple Leaf Brooch, which perfectly paid tribute to her host nation.
Government House was a convenient choice for the lavish reception, as it also happens to be the place where the family shall reside throughout their week-long stay in Canada.
While Wills and Kate greeted locals and chatted animatedly to guests and attendees, their son George, three, and 16-month-old Charlotte slept peacefully upstairs.
