The 24-year-old has spent the past four years studying dance but appears to have shelved her dream career to work as a PA in an office – a role that would certainly attract less attention than dancing on stage.
Reports have suggested fear of photographers and media attention on her dancing have influenced media-shy Cressida’s career shift, and is also a sign of the seriousness of her relationship with the 29-year-old royal.
“Cressida is working as a PA in a West End office for the time being,” a friend told the Daily Mail.
“She doesn’t want to do anything that will embarrass Prince Harry, I think she felt uncomfortable about photographs being seen of her dancing earlier this year.”
Rumours Harry was planning to propose to Cressida have been swirling for months, but gained momentum recently when Harry whisked Cressida off on an African Safari – just as his brother William did when he proposed to then Kate Middleton in 2010.
The couple once went to great lengths to keep their relationship private, but have lately appeared more relaxed in the public eye.
“Cressida has done a U-turn – she has fallen head-over-heels for Harry and he comes first now,” a friend said.
“She isn’t afraid of the Royal circus anymore.”
