Zoë Foster Blake has been forced to make a rather embarrassing announcement, but, like the true champ she is, she’s handled the situation with a healthy dose of humour.

The mogul and mother-of-two has been forced to pull her Break-Up Boss merchandise associated with the same-titled app and soon-to-launch book, after unwittingly infringing the copyright of an international fashion brand.

“Earlier this week I launched some @breakupboss merch to support my app/book, and some of it featured the word ‘Boss’. Obviously, being awesome at business, before I manufactured many items I made SUPER sure to NOT check if there were any trademark issues around the word ‘Boss,” she wrote, poking fun at the situation.

“A very well-known international fashion brand called dibs on the word a long time ago!” she continued. “And good on them. It’s a fantastic word, and they deserve it.”

The 37-year-old went on to apologise for the awkward mishap, before explaining that after a re-design the stock will hit (digital)shelves once again.

“We’re gonna re-design and re-launch again soon. (‘Now with added due diligence!’) In the meantime I’m just gonna get back to this sneaker line I’m working on,” she penned, jokingly adding: “Thinking of calling it Now I Know Everything. (Or, NIKE for short.)”

The merch included, among other pieces a cute and comfy grey jumper with the word ‘Boss’ embroidered in 80s inspired typography across the chest and a white tee boasting the same font in a bright pink.

Earlier this month, Zoë announced the app was going to make its debut in paper form in April.

The Go-To skincare founder said feedback from her fans inspired the shift to a hard-copy version of Break-up Boss.

“You guys were all like: ‘Make it into a book! Paper is still cool! Also, it means we can gift it to our sad friends real easy!’ And since I always listen to you guys, except when you try to tell me lemon sorbet is a viable dessert: here we are,” she wrote on Instagram.
