Whether it’s sending personalised gifts, reaching out on social media or writing a touching letter, there’s no doubt that Taylor Swift is dedicated to her fans.
In a post on the social networking site Tumblr last month, Taylor Swift revealed her mother Andrea is battling cancer and on Sunday a fan reached out to tell the singer her story.
“Last January, my mom passed away and a piece of my heart left with her,” Kaileen Fox wrote.
The message clearly hit home for the Shake it Off singer who responded: “You’ve lived through my worst fear.”
Kaileen’s note details the challenges of going through Mother’s Day without a mum: “My mom was my best friend, the one I laughed with, the one I cried with, and the one I loved with my whole heart,” she penned.
She also spoke of her admiration for the 25-year-old musician by adding: “because of you, I got through something that was the hardest thing in the world for me. Today’s going to be another hard day, but I know with you on my side I can get through anything. I love you.”

And it’s clear that Taylor loves her back, as she took the time to respond with a heartfelt message.
“Kaileen- I love you so much and can’t imagine what you must be feeling today” the blonde beauty said.
Before adding: “It’s not fair, and there’s no reason why you should feel okay about it. No one should ever expect you to feel normal today. I admire and respect your ability to put forth such a sunny, sweet disposition when you’ve been through something so dark and tragic so recently.”
Talking to E! News Kaileen said, “I told her my story because I think of her as my best friend and she deserves to know what’s going on in my life. I never expected she would reply as if I was her best friend and she was comforting me.”
Unsurprisingly the beautiful exchange has gone viral!
It seems the bond between Taylor and her Swifties is unbreakable, and we wouldn’t want it any other way.
