Australian actress Yael Stone has given birth to her first child with her partner Jack Manning Bancroft.
The couple welcomed a daughter, Pemau Stone Bancroft, on May 30th.
“On May 30th Pemau Stone Bancroft was born to Yael Stone and Jack Manning Bancroft,” a representative told US Weekly. “Her mum and dad are very tired and very much in love.”
The rep also revealed the meaningful sentiment behind the newborn’s unique name.
“She was named after her great great great grandmother who provides a powerful link to the past, the Bancroft’s oldest link to the Djanbun clan of the Bunjalung nation.”
Yael and Jack, who is the CEO of AIME, began dating in 2017 and announced her pregnancy in November.
The Orange Is The New Black actress previously opened up to TV WEEK about her exciting new chapter.
“In terms of life experience, I’m sure it [motherhood] will be really interesting – and, hopefully, plays into making my work richer,” she tells TV WEEK.
“My great hope is that motherhood will inform my work and my work will inform motherhood. But we’ll just have to wait and see.”
