Materials
Scraps of pink and purple felt
Water soluble pen
Stranded embroidery thread in pink, black and blue
Thread
Three bells (available from craft stores)
Two small Velcro squares or dots
Method Using pinking shears, cut two 7cm diameter felt circles (one pink and one purple) and two 16cm x 3cm strips of purple felt. Trace the pig face pattern and cut it out from pink felt.
Stitch it to a purple felt circle. Draw your face details using the water-soluble pen and embroider in the colours (see our pattern). Using backstitch for the lines and satin stitch for the fill-in areas.
Stitch the felt circles together securely around the edges, with the wrong sides facing, leaving a small opening. Insert the bells and stitch the opening closed.
Place the two strips of felt together and stitch around the edges to make the wrist strap.
Stitch the embroidered circle onto the centre of the wrist strap.
Stitch the Velcro dots to the ends of the straps to they will hold them securely in place.
