Kris Jenner’s lavish 60th birthday bash was missing two very important people

It was the party of the year but Kris Jenner’s ex-husband Caitlyn Jenner and recluse son Rob Kardashian were nowhere to be seen.

When it comes to celebrating, this momager is the queen of having a good time and it was no exception for her over-the-top 60th birthday bash on Friday.

No expense was spared as Kris Jenner rented out The Lot in West Hollywood for her Great Gatsby-themed event, which reportedly cost a cool $USD2 million.

And while the decadent do was swarming with A-list names, including John Legend, Chrissy Teigen, Will Smith, Ryan Seacrest and of course her reality star children, there were two noticeable faces missing.

Kris’ only son Rob Kardashian, 28, was nowhere to be seen as was her ex-husband, Caitlyn Jenner.

Since battling with weight and depression issues, the sock designer has stepped out of the limelight and stopped appearing on Keeping Up With The Kardashians.

Where was Rob? Kris’s only son didn’t appear on her birthday video or attend her A-list birthday bash.

Rob famously bailed on Kim Kardashian’s 2014 Italian nuptials to Kanye West at the last minute and has since been keeping a low profile while he trains hard to get back into shape.

“His regimen involves more than just cardio and weights,” a source told E! News a few months ago, before revealing he has teamed up with Khloe Kardashian’s beloved personal trainer, Gunnar Peterson.

The former reality star did however take to Instagram to wish his mum a happy birthday.

“MAMA I LOVE YOU!! P. O. P. Holding it down…. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY BEAUTIFUL MAMA‼,” he penned alongside a stock shot of the pair.

Caitlyn Jenner had a starring role in Kris’s birthday video but didn’t attend her actual celebrations in LA on Friday night.

Speaking to Access Hollywood of her son, Kris said he was “doing OK.”

“He’s been doing his thing. You know, trying to be a better Rob. So, he’s good,” the 60-year-old, who is dating music producer Corey Gamble, explained.

Despite never appearing on their reality show or attending family celebrations, Kris insisted to Cosmopolitan magazine that one of the biggest misconceptions about her family is that “we don’t spend any time with Rob.”

“Of course we do!” She confidently promised.

Meanwhile Caitlyn, who revealed her gender transition on the cover of Vanity Fair back in July, made a special cameo in Kris’s 60th birthday video.

The spoof video clip, which pays homage to Kris’s hilarious 30th birthday jingle, ends with Caitlyn in the bath pretending to be Kris as she sings “I love my friends” to the tune of Randy Newman’s 1983 hit I love L.A..

Squad! Kris cuddles up with daughters Kendall, Kylie, Kim, Kourtney and Khloe.

But there was no sign of the gold medallist on Friday night. Instead Caitlyn took to twitter to pen a simple message to her former wife which read: “Happy birthday @krisjenner. Enjoy the day with our wonderful family.”

On Saturday night Caitlyn caught up with her daughters Kendall, 20, and Kylie, 18, for a bite to eat in New York.

Kylie shared a sweet photo from the catch up proving the trio are closer than ever as they enjoyed a low-key “fam night.”

The I Am Cait star could have perhaps missed Kris’s party due to prior commitments in the Big Apple.

Since their divorce Kris and Caitlyn’s relationship have been, at times, strained but the pair continue to work through their issues.
