As Bindi Irwin prepares to celebrate her sweet sixteenth, her grandfather Bob has already rsvp’d ‘No’ to the event.
The father of the late crocodile hunter Steve Irwin, has confirmed he won’t be sticking around for his granddaughter’s jungle themed birthday bash at Australia Zoo because he will be at a crocodile conservation project in Far North Queensland.
“ I’ll be in Cape York, so I won’t be there,” the 75-year-old told 9 Stories.
The Irwin’s have had a strained relationship with Bob ever since his fallout with Steve’s widow, Terri over the direction of Australia Zoo and the welfare of Bindi and Robert.*

But despite Bob’s let down, the bubbly young TV presenter is still planning on throwing one wild ‘onesie’ party to mark the special occasion come July 24.
On the day, visitors will not only be treated to a free entry, but the Zoo also hopes to break the record for the “world’s biggest onesie party”.
Talking about the year ahead, Bindi said she plans on continuing her work to help make the world a better place by tackling some of the big issues.
“The non-consumptive use of wildlife and over human population tend to be topics that are not openly discussed and until we start talking about these issues, we can’t create positive change,” she said.
“I am currently studying a Certificate III in Business and Tourism with Sunshine Coast Tafe, I hope to be able to use this to work alongside my mum and help manage Australia Zoo,” she added.
