Her Majesty loves a party. For her 90th birthday the Queen attended celebrations well into July, despite her actual birthday (no, not the long weekend in June) falling on April, 21.
But the monarch doesn’t need a milestone birthday for license to throw a massive party. This year, for her 92nd birthday the Queen is throwing a birthday concert to remember with a lineup your nineties-music-loving heart will scream for.
The Queen has enlisted the help of the BBC to organise the celebration, and she has put in her requests for some of her favourite acts to preform. Billed to sing at London’s Royal Albert Hall is the Dancing Queen herself, Kylie Minogue.

A few more surprising acts have been added to preform for the Queen on her birthday, including nineties pop sensations Craig David and Shaggy – the hit-maker behind popular track ‘It Wasn’t Me’. Shaggy will be preforming alongside Sting as the unlikely duo are releasing an album together. Tom Jones, teen singer-songwriter Shawn Mendes, pop singer Anne-Marie, and South African male choral group Ladysmith Black Mambazo complete the eclectic lineup.
Music by UK singer Craig David appears to be Queen Elizabeth’s ‘flava’.
Reggae rapper Shaggy (L) and Sting (R) will be pairing up for a joint-performance for Her Majesty.
The general public are also invited to help the Queen celebrate on April 21. Tickets are still available for the party at London’s Royal Albert Hall, starting from $41.
The Palace hasn’t confirmed which of the royals will be there to celebrate, but Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall will surely be bopping along.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle may want to take a break from wedding planning to enjoy the festivities however, the Duchess of Cambridge may have to hold a belated celebration for the Queen as she is due to give birth around the same time in April.
