Ever the movie star George Clooney had a delightful response to a reporter who asked him if he and wife Amal Clooney were expecting.
At a press junket on Tuesday in Amsterdam the Hail, Caesar! actor was cheeky when a Telegraph UK reporter inquired about Amal being up the duff.
“No,” Clooney, 54, said. “But I like that you started that rumour.”
The Clooneys, who were married in 2014 in a lavish Italian ceremony, have become quite to power couple since their nuptials.
Not shy about taking pride in his wife’s work George told reporters his 37-year-old wife, who works as a human-rights lawyer had cause to celebrate this week.
“The president of the Maldives was let out of prison, because of a lot of the hard work that [Amal] was doing,” George said. “She’s had a very good week.”
Busy George and Amal, who celebrated their first wedding anniversary in September, last year, did expand their family before Christmas by adopting a puppy named Millie.
“It was a happy day at the shelter for Millie!” wrote the website of Millie’s adoption.
“Millie was found without a home and hoping for food scraps outside of a local restaurant in San Gabriel earlier this month,” it read.
The cute pooch was adopted from a rescue shelter in LA, the San Gabriel Valley Humane Society, and will join George and Amal’s two other pups, Louie and Einstein, who are both cocker spaniel rescues.
So for now we think George and Amal have their hands full.
