In an interview The Australian Women’s Weekly Glenn and wife Sara McGrath have revealed the exciting news they are pregnant with their first child together.

“We are adding to our family and we couldn’t be more delighted,” the couple shared with the publication.

This new addition will join 15 year-old James and 13 year-old Holly, Glenn’s children from his first marriage to the late Jane McGarth, who sadly died in 2008 from a long battle with breast cancer.

The amazing baby news comes after Glenn underwent a vasectomy in 2003. However the couple were determined to have a child and underwent two rounds of IVF.

Thankfully the embryo took and Sara is due to give birth in October.

Glenn told the magazine that “the Kids are really excited,” before adding: “James used to ask us on a regular basis whether we were going to give him a baby brother. To see both their faces when they learned the news. James jumped up and gave both of us a hug and kiss.”

The demands of a professional cricketing career often got the better of Glenn as he was needed on tour for a lot of James and Holly’s younger years,

But the star, who retired from the sport in 2006, has vouched: “This time around, I’m really looking forward to being hands on.”

The 45 year-old also opened up about his late wife Jane: “I know she would want me to be happy and she’d want her children to be happy and they are.”

Glenn and Sara have been married for five years and they are “delighted” by the news of a new addition!

Glenn met the stunning Sara in 2009 and they got married at a secret Italian ceremony in 2012.

The 32-year-old beauty has loved being a stepmother, however she’s been open about wanting kids of her own, “It’s not something I base my sole existence on, but if they did come and that’s what we decided to do, that would be amazing,” she told Aussie website Show And Tell last year.

She added of her family: “The kids welcomed me with open arms. I never forced myself onto them.”

“There’s no hand-me-down manual for parenting. I love the educating and nurturing part, but the nagging does wear me out,” she laughed.
