Vince Colosimo could faces time in jail after he was charged with being behind the wheel while suspended from driving and under the influence of drugs, as reported by the Herald Sun.
The Aussie actor’s case was mentioned at Melbourne Magistrates Court this week, but the 50-year-old’s trial is adjourned until August.
This is the second time Vince has been charged with driving while suspended.
In 2014, he was fined $1000 without conviction and banned from driving for 14 days after pleading guilty to two counts of the offence.
According to the Road Safety Act, subsequent offences can attract up to two years’ jail or a fine of up to $38060.
In January this year, Vince was placed on a good behaviour bond for 12 months and ordered to pay $1000 to the court, after being found in September 2016 with a small amount of methamphetamine.
Making a full admission to possessing the drug, Vince shared it was ice and that he was a user.
Before his hearing, Vince spoke to the Herald Sun about the charge.
“This has been a wake-up call,” he said.
“I have two beautiful children, whom I love more than anything in the world, and I want to be a good role model to them,” he said.
“They, and acting, are my two biggest loves.”
Adding, “It’s onwards and upwards. I want to focus on my family and work. I’ve been away on holiday and am in a good place.”
