Mere days after The Rock called out his Fast 8 male co-stars for being unprofessional, the former pro wrestler himself is the target of others’ on-set frustrations.
Vin Diesel is reportedly furious with The Rock, aka Dwayne Johnson, for his own lot of selfish behaviour.
“Tension has been building up for months,” a movie insider told People.
“Vin has been having problems with The Rock because The Rock keep showing up late for production,” the source explains.
“Sometimes he doesn’t show up at all and he’s delaying the production.”
And even though The Rock didn’t name names, insiders say it’s pretty clear his ire was aimed at Vin.
But perhaps Vin shouldn’t be casting the first stone, as he too, has reportedly been labelled a diva for his off-camera antics.
According to on-set sources, the action star refused to come out of his trailer during the filming of Fast 7.
“Vin spent a whole day in his trailer one day,” an insider previously told The Hollywood Reporter.
Another source told Page Six that Vin “acted like a diva and has held up production before.”
“It’s not surprising that he’s the one The Rock is calling out.”
The news comes after Dwayne took to social media to have a crack at his male costars.
“This is my final week of shooting Fast & Furious 8. There’s no other franchise that gets my blood boiling more than this one,” he began.
Before elaborating on his fury, the actor took a moment to praise his “amazing” female co-stars, which include Michelle Rodriguez, Charlize Theron, Elsa Pataky and Helen Mirren.
“My male co-stars however are a different story. Some conduct themselves as stand up men and true professionals, while others don’t. The ones that don’t are too chicken sh– to do anything about it anyway,” he revealed.
“When you watch this movie next April and it seems like I’m not acting in some of these scenes and my blood is legit boiling – you’re right,” he said.
