Brad Pitt has addressed the comments he made about his ex-wife Jennifer Aniston in an interview with the TODAY show in the US saying that Jen “doesn’t deserve it”.
“She doesn’t deserve it,” he said.
“She’s good people. There should be a statute of limitations on this thing.”
The 47-year-old actor apparently told Parade he spent the ’90s trying to pretend he was something that he wasn’t.
“I think that my marriage [to actress Jennifer Aniston] had something to do with it. Trying to pretend the marriage was something that it wasn’t,” he told the publication.
“One of the greatest, smartest things I ever did was give my kids Angie as their mom.”
Brad said the comments, which were reported across the world, were taken out of context.
When the interviewer tried to read the comments to him he responded by saying: “Please don’t read it. I don’t read these things, because I don’t want to be encumbered by any of that. I know my intentions and I know what I believe and I know things get misconstrued.”
