Victoria Beckham has been named Britain’s top entrepreneur – a significant pinnacle in her career evolution from Spice Girl to fashion icon.

While many might still associate Victoria as Posh Spice or queen of the footballer WAGs, these days she is better known as the doyenne of the fashion world, and now, it seems, a respected leader in the business world.

Victoria, 40, claimed the number one spot on a list of Britain’s top 100 entrepreneurs released by Management Today magazine.

It’s just the latest in a long list of achievements that we can’t quite believe the hectic working mother of four has managed to squeeze into her schedule.

Most recently, she launched her very first clothing boutique in London’s Dover street on the same day that she was named by the UN as a Goodwill ambassador for UNAIDS agency. The new role has seen her travelling to Africa, where she met with women and children to help stop the spread of AIDS.

All of Victoria’s hard work is clearly paying off though, with the Times of London estimating David and Victoria Beckham’s combined wealth to be worth an estimated $695 million (£380 million), with the biggest earner amongst their collective branding ventures to be Victoria’s eponymous fashion label.

According to The Guardian, the Victoria Beckham label has recently had a “sales growth of 2,900% and employment growth of 3,233%” meaning the former Spice Girl is laughing all the way to the bank!

Victoria Beckham launched her first official collection in 2008 with a capsule collection of only 400 dresses which sold out instantly. Here she poses with Jennifer Lopez, both wearing dresses from the range, as the pair attend the Marc Jacobs fashion show at the same New York fashion week where Victoria presented the first collection in a strictly limited showing with VIP fashion buys and editors.

Since then, the label has grown significantly and Victoria draws a huge crowd for her packed-out catwalk shows at Fashion Week.

Victoria Beckham’s eponymous label was named “Designer Brand of the Year” at the 2011 British Fashion Awards – she’s pictured here with fellow designer Marc Jacobs.

Victoria then took out “Woman of the Decade” award at the Glamour Awards in 2013, which she attended with her son Brooklyn.

As of 2014, Victoria and David Beckham’s joint wealth is estimated to be worth $695 million (£380 million) on the Times of London’s British rich list.
