Former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham is expecting her fourth child with her football star husband, David Beckham.
The couple’s three sons, 11-year-old Brooklyn, eight-year-old Romeo and five-year-old Cruz, are said to be “very excited” about the family’s new arrival.
David Beckham confirmed the news in a message on his Facebook fan page this morning.
“I’ve got some great news to tell you all,” he wrote. “Victoria and I are expecting our fourth child this summer. The boys are very excited about the arrival of a new brother or sister.”
A spokeswoman for 36-year-old Victoria also confirmed the news, but did not say how far along she was or when her specific due date is.
The couple, who currently live in Los Angeles, have said they are hoping for a girl.
“Maybe one day another baby,” Victoria said in the February edition of the UK’s Vogue as she spoke about her desire to have a baby girl.
“But at this stage I think the chances of a girl are quite slim.”
