The pair’s photographer, Meg Miller, captured the entire interaction and shared it on Instagram.
Tom was casually dressed as he greeted bride Elisabeth and groom Ryan, offering his well wishes.
“We were in the midst of shooting and he just sort of walked up to us and introduced himself saying, ‘Hi, I’m Tom Hanks,’” Meg told The Post.
He then shook their hands, kissed the bride’s hand and offered his best wishes.
“It was a great New York minute,” Meg explained.
And Tom agreed, sharing his own selfie on social media, along with the sweet caption, “Elizabeth and Ryan! Congrats and blessings! Hanx!”
Meg recalled Tom asking, “if they needed a wedding officiant, because he is an ordained minister.”
The Oscar winner got ordained to officiate Girls star Allison Williams’ wedding to Ricky Van Veen in 2015.
Allison, who portrays Tom’s wife Rita Wilson’s on-screen daughter on the HBO series, tied the knot last September, and Mr Hanks was a hit!
“Here’s what I did,” he recalled. “I studied the ministry for over $35. And if you want to call me the Right Reverend Tom Hanks, I think you should.”
“I’m for rent,” he, joked. “If you can afford the honorarium, I’ll be there for ya.”

It’s bound to be a prosperous sign if Tom Hanks officiates or crashes your wedding, after all, he’s been with his sweetheart since 1988.
“Rita and I are blessed because we really like each other and we always have. We weather a storm here and there, it’s no big deal, you can get past it,” he admitted during a chat with 60 minutes.
After 28 years of marriage and two children, the pair seem to be as in love as ever. And it all began thanks to The Brady Bunch.
Tom first saw her when she guest-starred as a cheerleader on the popular show.
“I was actually at a friend of mine’s house when it aired and I remember thinking, ‘that girl’s cute!'”
