Its not everyday the Today show host Karl Stefanovic gets attacked by a rogue egg, but was it an accident?
Hundreds of teenage boys and girls, doused in Lynx Africa according to the host, crowded the streets got more than 12 hours all in the hopes to see internet celebrities Logan Paul and KSI who were Down Under to promote their energy drink.
Karl was hit by an egg while interviewing the boys on the balcony at Nine’s North Sydney studio. Whether the breakfast host was in the crossfire or a target, his suit paid the price!
“Hey! This is an expensive suit!” Karl shouted after the incident.
While in the Today studio with new co-host, Sarah Abo he said: “I have been working out lately so the egg didn’t hurt.”
But neither the expensive suit, nor Karl’s welfare was Sarah’s primary concern, rather the smell of egg wafting through the studio.
“It doesn’t smell at all,” she joked. “We need some Lynx Africa in here.”
We don’t doubt the smell of “scrambled eggs” was luring after Karl didn’t even bother to change his jacket when he returned to the studio! He even showed the evidence to the camera, and it wasn’t pretty.
After replacing Allison Langdon less than a month ago, Sarah Abo has already seen some interesting things in her short time as host. An egging is definitely a different experience from her intense role as a reporter on 60 Minutes and SBS.
But fans are loving Sarah and Karl’s dynamic, including some more cultural diversity as she was born in Damascus, Syria but moved to Australia with her family at just four years old.
