Reese will play the lead role of Tinker Bell and also produce the film, which is set to have mid-range budget as opposed other, more recent Disney blockbusters.

Although the plot is being kept strictly under wraps, we’re expecting big things.

Tinker Bell was originally a minor, nonspeaking character in J.M. Barrie’s story Pan, however since her appearance in the 1953 animated film, the stubborn fairy became one of the world’s most beloved characters.

Her unrelenting love for Peter Pan and fiery jealously of Wendy, is something so many of us can relate to, so no wonder some of Hollywood’s big guns have taken on this delightful little role.

Reese will be in good company as she joins the likes of Julia Roberts who played the pocket sized creature in the 1991 film Hook.

And who can forget when Kiera Knightley lent her voice to the feisty fairy in the Neverland series.

The hilarious Victoria Strouse will be penning the screen play, she is responsible for the Ellen DeGeneres film, yet to released Finding Dory.

We believe in fairies and we believe that Reese Witherspoon will knock this role out of the park!
