Tina Fey gave the people what they wanted, reprising her role as Sarah Palin on Saturday Night Live over the weekend.
The real-life Sarah made headlines last week after she endorsed Donald Trump’s presidential campaign in Iowa. This, of course, prompted SNL’s producers to jump on the chance to bring Tina back as one of her most-loved characters.
“I wanted to take a break from my full-time career of writing things on Facebook to fly down here and lend my support to the next president of the United States, Donald J. Trump,” Tina said in her opening monologue as Sarah.
Darrell Hammond, who was in character as Donald Trump, stood alongside the Sisters actress to offer his own priceless commentary. Calling her a “firecracker”, Donald said, the former governor was “the total package. Smart. Legs. Yelling. Everything. I haven’t seen a woman this impressive since Jeb Bush.”
Tina has been keeping busy promoting her latest comedy flick Sisters with funny partner-in-crime Amy Poehler.
