He just wants to be ‘Sir David’, ok?!
Times David Beckham sucked up to The Queen on Instagram

It’s safe to say David Beckham isn’t having the best time of it since The Sun leaked allegedly personal emails of his that don’t paint him in the most favourable light (to say the least).

The British paper reported he’s beyond desperate to become Sir David Beckham and he reportedly dubbed the Honours Committee “unappreciative c—s” after being overlooked for a knighthood.

Yikes.

He also allegedly did everything in his power to be considered, including sucking up to Queen Elizabeth II on social media for his millions of followers to see.

A source revealed: “It’s incredible to see the lengths David and his team went to present him in the right light.

“His every public move was being orchestrated to appeal to the committee but now the whole process has been exposed.”

Funnily enough, just a little look back at his Instagram does make you wonder if he had a hidden agenda…

In all seriousness, you can’t knock the amazing charitable work Beckham has done, even if he does want a knighthood. And there is nothing wrong with showing The Queen some social media love, right?!

The 41-year-old, who is UNICEF’s Goodwill Ambassador, has raised millions for children around the world, especially with The David Beckham 7 Fund.

The charity released a statement following the scandal which read:

“UNICEF has become aware of media reports relating to 7: The David Beckham Unicef Fund.”

“Some reports relate to alleged private correspondence between our ambassador and other parties, which we have not seen and cannot comment upon.”

“David Beckham has been a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador since 2005.

“As well as generously giving his time, energy and support to help raise awareness and funds for UNICEF’s work for children, David has given -significant funds personally.”

But we guess we won’t be seeing Becks arise as Sir David anytime soon.
