But in a raw new interview with the Sunday Times Thomas Cohen, 25, has revealed he won’t let his grief define him.
“At the time I was 23. I had two children who needed to be taken care of and, in maybe early June 2014, I started to do that,” the singer, who shared sons Phaedra, four, and Astala, two, with his late wife, explained of working through the tragedy.
“I just made the decision to start looking after myself and refused to lose myself and become a traumatised, grief-stricken single father who everyone’s going to look at and think I feel all of these things about,” Thomas added.
In April 2014, Thomas’ world was turned upside down when he discovered Peaches’ body at their home in Wortham, Kent. She was just 25 years old.

Thomas says he’s turned to transcendental meditation to help deal with the grief of losing Peaches.
Officials eventually ruled her cause of death was “opiate intoxication.”
Looking back, Tom says the grim turn of events were “traumatising” and at time he often thought: “I don’t want to stay in this place anymore.”
Thankfully with the help of Peaches’ family, including her father Bob Geldof, 64, and sisters Fifi, 33, Pixie, 25, and Tiger Lily, 19, and techniques such as transcendental meditation, Thomas is looking towards the future.
The 25-year-old has also had a constant pillar of strength from Peaches’ musician father, Bob Geldof.
“It’s the hardest thing you’ll ever have to do. I started to do transcendental meditation, which helped a lot,” the British star admitted to the publication.
“We’re really close, which is really nice. I’m very happy about it,” he said of the Geldof clan.
Thomas is now dating British model Daisy Lowe and is gearing up for the May 6 release of his album, Bloom Forever.
