Get excited!
We’re sure you can imagine the mayhem that hit the Woman’s Day office when we discovered that Sydney was getting its very own dramatic spin-off of what might well be the best show on television.
And when we found out that casting was already underway, well, we couldn’t help but put in our own guesses.
Today, we finally received the news we had been waiting for; that the seven selected Real Housewives of Sydney have indeed been cast and not only that, they made their official public debut at Sydney’s Park Hyatt Hotel.
And with a Miss Australia winner, former politician’s wife and an ARIA award recipient in the mix, it’s sure to be one interesting season.
Let’s meet the ladies we’re about to binge watch, then?
AthenaX Levendi
Described as spiritual and eccentric, AntheaX is a sculptor, painter and jewellery designer married to the Australian Greek jewellery designer who owns Levendi Jewellers. The couple share three children and reside in Sydney’s stunning Bellevue Hill.
Krissy Marsh
This opinionated beauty isn’t afraid to tell it like it is. The former model and mother-of-three splits her time between Sydney and Shanghai – where her husband is based for business, and now works as a real estate agent.
Lisa Oldfield
Married to former politician David Oldfield, the mum-of-two is certainly used to controversy and life in the public eye. The businesswoman describes herself as “opinionated, provocative and passionate”, which we’re pretty excited about to be quite honest. “We don’t drive Toyota’s but our nannies do,” Lisa quipped at the launch event on Friday.
Matty Samaei
Owner of The Medispa by Matty in Double Bay, this vivacious shopaholic is known as the beauty expert of the city. She too lives in Bellevue Hill, and shares two daughters with her partner.
Melissa Tkautz
The actress, model and singer is no stranger to the flash of the camera. As a “triple threat” she has featured on over 80 magazine covers, many TV shows and is even the recipients of an ARIA award. The now-mother of two lives in Frenchs Forest with her husband.
Nicole O’Neil
The blonde beauty queen found her place in the spotlight after taking out the title of Miss Australia. Now, she owns a blossoming event planning company. She shares two daughters with her husband, who was a childhood pal.
Victoria Rees
The only single gal out of her cast mates, carefree Victoria is loving her life socialising with friends and entertaining guests in her Bondi home. The mum-of-one previously worked as an interior decorator, but now owns a beauty product called Wrinkles Schminkles.
The ten-part series begins filming in September, and will premiere on Foxtel’s Arena channel in 2017.
