Whether you love or loathe the sportsball – that’s Aussie rules, rugby league, and rugby union to the uninitiated! – there’s no doubting it’s a feast for the eyes.

With the AFL and NRL finals, plus the Rugby Union World Cup, all on this weekend, there’s no escaping the footy over the next few days.

If you’ve followed every ball-up, line-out and scrum this season, you won’t need convincing to be glued to the telly.

However if sports ain’t your thing, click through this gallery and you might just change your mind – or at the very least you’ll enjoy the visual feast of super-fit blokes in tight jerseys running around on a patch of grass after a fast-moving ball.

For those of us who care beyond the aesthetically pleasing aspects of footy, make sure you tune in on Saturday arvo to watch AFL’s Hawthorn Hawks clash with the West Coast Eagles, then on Sunday set your alarms nice and early to watch the 6am (AEST) telecast of our Australian Wallabies verse England in the RWC.

Later that night, it’s an all-Queensland affair when the Brisbane Broncos take on the North Queensland Cowboys in the NRL.

May the best teams win!

Brisbane Broncos star Corey Parker is rugby league’s original and best silver fox.

David Pocock is the rugby union thinking woman’s dream. Not only does the Wallabies openside flanker pack a physique like this, he’s also passionate about climate-change awareness and gay marriage rights.

Born and bred in AFL-mad Perth, West Coast Eagles young gun Elliot Yeo is a hometown fave.

Let’s hope Hawthorn forward Luke Breust has plenty to fist-pump about during Saturday’s AFL grand final so we can admire those biceps some more.

Darius Boyd made the move from Newcastle to Queensland this year – something the female fans of the Brisbane Broncos are no doubt very pleased with.

West Coast’s Jack Darling certainly suits his name.

North Queensland Cowboys NRL stalwart Johnathan Thurston, we invite you to keep removing your jersey. Please and thank you.

Wallabies superstar Israel Folau is one of rugby’s greats – and his rig isn’t too bad either.

Who doesn’t love a beards ‘n’ biceps combo? Thank you for being you, West Coast AFL star Josh Kennedy.

Hawthorn’s Josh Gibson loves a good recovery sesh in the water. Which is good news for everyone.

Wallaby Quade Cooper has some serious pecs appeal.

Cowboys star James Tamou doesn’t do things by halves – especially beards and abdominal crunches. Even his former teammate Tariq Sims is overwhelmed.

At just 25 years old Wallaby star Matt Toomua already has a legion of loyal fans – and we can see why!

The man with the most perfect hair in the AFL, Ryan Schoenmakers, is worth celebrating.

OK, we know! Sonny Bill Williams is actually a New Zealander. However, respect must be paid to that time his All Blacks jersey was torn off in a 2011 Rugby World Cup match against Tonga. #neverforget
