The evolution of Angelina Jolie

Who would have thought that this fresh-faced teenager would one day become one of the most famous women in the world? Once close to her family, Angelina is now estranged from actor father, Jon Voight.

In the early stages of her career, an intimate kiss on the lips with her brother, James Haven at an awards show sparked media speculation of an incestuous relationship in which she strongly denied.

Infamous for her off-screen romances with co-stars, Angelina’s short-lived marriage to second husband Billy Bob Thorton (she was first married to Jonny Lee Miller) was often in the media, with claims they would wear vials of each other’s blood around their necks.

In early 2002, she adopted her first child, Maddox from Cambodia and began to embark on her humanitarian work for world charity organisations.

As a single mother, Angelina, continues with her duties as a UN Refugee Ambassador — endlessly campaigning and participating in discussions at World Economic Forums.

Angelina makes headlines as she continues to grow her ever expanding family, adopting Zahara (pictured) from Ethiopia and Pax Thien from Vietnam in addition to eldest son Maddox (pictured).
