Almost a year after Terri Irwin admitted on TV that she “loves” Russell Crowe, Woman’s Day has learnt the lovebirds are finally ready to take the next step in their relationship and are moving in together!
“Terri’s been looking for a piece of land to build her dream home on for some time now and has made a very generous offer on the 15-acre [six-hectare] plot which has an incredible pool, wine room and barn,” a source reveals to Woman’s Day.
“She’s asked Russell to move there with her and make a fresh start after his Nana Glen home was ravaged by bushfires. She feels like this is the new beginning they both want – and Russ jumped at the chance to help create their dream home together and start a new life in Oregon.”

(Source: Supplied)While Terri, 55, will still largely be based at Australia Zoo, for years she’s dreamt of spending more and more time back in the US and that’s why she’s been pushing Robert, 16, and 21-year-old Bindi’s profile overseas, as well as at home.
“When Terri saw her dream estate come up for sale close to where she was born and raised in Eugene, she knew it was a sign,” adds the source, who says Terri can’t wait to show Rusty, 55, her home town.
“There’s no way Terri could ask Russell to move into Australia Zoo, a place that’s so steeped in memories for her and Steve – it would feel like a betrayal – but this home would be somewhere just for them,” tells the source.

Now friends say Terri’s so excited for the next chapter that she’s already hired an architect and interior designer to help start drawing up plans.

“She’s excited for Russ to have his own barn, given his love of horseriding – they’ve been dreaming of running their own equestrian school.”

“Bindi and Robert are both incredibly excited for their mum and plan to spend a lot of time there, too – they love Russell and are super close to him,” says the insider.
“Bindi and Chandler are also making plans to purchase a home in Florida and jetting back and forth to spend time at their mum’s new estate.
“Terri’s got a lot of plans, starting with a $2 million overhaul. She said it’s given her and Russ a new lease of life as she gushes
at how she can’t wait for a new beginning – something she never thought would happen for her.”
