Kris, 59, was married to former Olympian Bruce, 65, for 25 years, but throughout his very public and emotional transition period, she has not commented publicly and maintained her silence.
Following Bruce’s tell-all interview with Diane Sawyer last week Kris said Bruce was her “hero” but that doesn’t mean she’s always been at peace with his journey.
In a new teaser for reality show Keeping Up With The Kardashians, which was first shown on the NBC’s Today the momager is left as she discusses the news.
Sitting down with daughter Kim, an emotional Kris can be seen sobbing in her pyjamas as Kim consoles her.
Through her tears, the Kardashian matriarch sobs: “I have these memories of this life and I feel sometimes that it didn’t exist.”
Clearly trying to help rationalise it for her mum, Kim reasons: “He has to deal with this for his entire life of waking up and feeling like ‘whoa this isn’t my body, this doesn’t feel comfortable.’ That’s the only way I can kind of imagine it and you really have to like let go.”
Kris was heavily criticised for not making any comment during Bruce’s highly-publicised two-hour televised interview with
ABC’s Diane Sawyer in which he explained that he identified as a woman, despite Bruce’s other two ex-wives Chrystie and Linda both making supportive comments, along with Bruce’s children.
When celebrity blogger Perez Hilton posted a comment regarding this, Kris snapped back the following response: “f**k you Perez no one asked me to comment ….and I’m sitting with Bruce now watching this show so let’s keep it real…LOL….”
Her representatives later released a statement that read: “Kris does not have official representation but a message was left at her office and she was asked for fact checking. Kris said she was unable to respond because she had not seen the special. She did not say, ‘No comment.’”
It seems that just like Bruce, Kris will only address the issue when it’s on her terms. So we’ll just have to wait until the Kardashians episode airs to find out her thoughts in full!
