You’d think that the first item on your To-Do list after becoming world famous would be to immediately delete all the embarrassing remnants of your Myspace account, but unfortunately for Taylor Swift, the thought never occurred to her that Buzzfeed might one day drag it all back up.
We’re sure that after more than a decade, the Blank Space singer was hoping to keep the cringe-worthy teenage photos hidden in the past, and although the ten-time Grammy award-winner appears to have deleted her personal page, comments left on her teenage friend’s pages still remain.
Profile pics taken with the forever-unflattering flash cameras were discovered of Taylor and her school pals.
One particular gem shows a fresh faced Taylor pulling a pouty face and rocking a mop of tangled curls as she shows off her Garland Elementary Spelling Bee Champion shirt.
Another classic pic captures a pensive looking T-Swizzle sporting a black, choppy wig and grungy grey and black jacket.
But perhaps the best discovery of all were some hilarious comments that the singer had left on her friends walls, covering everything from inside jokes to boobs and sewing machines.
Apparently, the now 26-year-old used to have a serious hatred for the tailoring apparatus indicated by this comment here: “Just a little reminder to you that, even though the semester may be over… I’m still quite obsessed with you. haha f**k sewing machines,” she posted to one friend’s wall.
And although Taylor is now known to be one of the world’s most stunning women, even she had insecurities as a 16-year-old.
In this particular comment, the blonde beauty demands a pal remove an unflattering photo of her. Ahh we’ve all been there!
“THAT PICTURE OF ME UP AT THE TOP IS GROSS THAT IS SICK TAKE IT DOWN. It serves NO purpose other than to make me look FUGYLY. I want it off NOW. but I loove you [sic],” Taylor begs.
Just like Taylor, plenty of us have embarrassing photos and comments hidden from our Myspace days, so this discovery only makes her more relatable.
It’s nice to know that before she was selling out arenas and throwing shade to Kanye West, she was just an embarrassing teen on Myspace like the rest of us.
