Taylor Swift has once again imparted southern magic onto the world…
This time the lucky receiver is super fan and 96-year-old Cyrus Porter.
It turns out the World War II veteran happens to be a major Taylor fan, so of course she made swift moves to give him the ultimate gift.
“I’ve been to two concerts,” the grandfather ‘fessed to ozarksfirst.com.
“Look what she does… she puts on a show no one else puts on.”
So the 27-year-old decided he needed a visit ASAP… and thanks to Cyrus’ 20 grandchildren and social media, we can all share in the glory.
The singer dropped by his New Madrid home where she belted out a surprise performance of “Shake It Off”.
She then chatted to his 60+ family members for more than an hour.
“My Popo was ecstatic! He was grinning from ear to ear and even had tears in his eyes,” family member Caroline Fowler shared with E! News.
“The first thing he said to her was ‘How did you get here?’ He loved every moment. He told her how he was proud of his family, his country and Taylor Swift!”
The visit is extra special considering Cyrus had recently lost one of his daughters.
While the family isn’t sure how the surprise came about, it’s clear the former military man was delighted.
“It was the best day ever and our family is thankful for this!” Caroline remarked.
“It meant so much for the family to see him so happy!”
Cyrus’ grandson Robert gushed, “It’s a Christmas Miracle!!! Thank you @taylorswift13. My grandpa was so excited! Won’t be able to get the smile off my grandpa’s face for months.”
We’re guessing noone will be able to shake off this Christmas delight anytime soon!
