It’s been more than six weeks since Taylor Swift and chart-topping DJ Calvin Harris have been spotted together. When you’re talking about a girl who documents her every move on social media, that is a very long time.
It’s been reported by Metro that the couple is “on a break”, while a separate source told UK Grazia magazine that “the relationship went from 0-60 in a matter of weeks, so it was perhaps inevitable that things might come crashing down”.
The magazine went on to speculate that the Scottish DJ is “freaked out” over the public interest in their relationship.
“Calvin has found the circus surrounding their relationship overwhelming,” says a source, adding, “It was incredibly intense so they’ve taken a step back and are cooling things off.”
The pair usually proudly flaunts their relationship on Instagram.
Talks of slowing down their romance also follow Calvin being spotted leaving a Thai massage parlour on LA’s hedonistic Sunset Boulevard after a two-hour session back in September.
“Taylor was incandescent with rage when she saw the pictures and told him she wanted to break it off with him then and there. She felt humiliated that her boyfriend had been caught at such a seedy place,” the source says.
It seems Calvin just wants to have a happy ending with Taylor,and Taylor alone. The insider adds that the DJ is not a fan of his girlfriend’s “squad” always being around, as they never have enough time to themselves.
However, following the flurry split rumours, Calvin has given fans a glimmer of hope that there is no bad blood between them, favouriting a bunch of Tweets about his girlfriend.

The How Deep Is Your Love( DJ favorited a tweet of the cover, as well as a previous post by one fan’s Twitter handle, @LetstalkaboutTS, which showed Taylor’s dual GQ and NME* magazine covers side by side with the caption, “When @CalvinHarris is a lucky dude.”
Taylor has confirmed she’s taking a well-earned holiday – perhaps also a chance to work on her relationship – when her tour concludes.
“I think I should take some time off,” she told NME magazine. “People might need a break from me. I’m going to hang out with friends. Write new music. Maybe not write new music. I don’t know.”
