Sylvester Stallone was killed off by a death hoax sweeping the internet over the weekend.
The beloved Rocky star was reported as dead by a story that looked as though it came from news outlet CNN.
In fact, the story took viewers to a page well known for its celebrity death hoaxes.
But with so many high-profile stars such as David Bowie and Prince having passed away in 2016 already, many fans didnโt click on the page before sharing it, spreading the fake news of the actorโs death on a global scale.

The actor was seen out and about one day after the hoax spread.
The false story claimed Sylvester had been found dead in his home surrounded by prescription pill bottles.
But the 70-year-old actor took to Instagram, posting a photo that let his fans know he was alive and well.

The star posted a snap with a lightweight champion to prove heโs very much still alive.

Donโt worry, heโs still fighting fit!
In the photo, the actor looks to be taking a fake punch from fighter Sergey Kovzalev.
Sly captioned the photo: โWith the incredibly powerful unified light heavyweight champion, Sergey โKrusherโKovzalev. Whatever he hits, he destroys.โ
