One year on from when she went under the knife, former Olympian swimmer and Celebrity Apprentice winner Stephanie Rice has opened up about her nose job, and why she didn’t try to keep it a secret.
Posting a glamorous photo to her Instagram, Rice wrote that she was happy with her choices – to have the procedure, and to be open about it.
“Looking back I’m so glad I didn’t keep it hush hush and rather owned my decision”.
“Because there is no better feeling than owning your decisions and feeling empowered.”
The Sydney (but soon to be LA) based Rice had a rhinoplasty procedure at the beginning of last year after being unhappy about her nose ever since she broke it as a teenager in a swimming pool incident.
At the time she said to Who magazine that she couldn’t have been happier
“Everyone will have an opinion, and what I’ve learnt over the years is that you can’t do things to please people,” Rice told the magazine, “I love the result.”

For Rice, one of the rewarding things about being forthright about her plastic surgery is the way it has helped others toying with the decision.
“Speaking out about it has allowed me to guides others who are in the same position I was.
“I get an email almost every fortnight from my website asking me who my surgeon was and what the surgery was like and I love being able to help them out because it can be pretty daunting,” she wrote.
Rice is set to move to LA in the next few days, and has been counting down with posts on her Instagram.
She wrote of her next adventure,
“Bring on the fun, bring on the challenges and bring on the learns.”
