I’ve lost one of my twin babies
Marathon swimmer Susie Maroney has been dealt the cruellest blow, but she is bravely looking ahead.

In a life that has known such highs and lows — from the triumph of her marathon swims, to the tragedy of her twin brother Sean’s death — it’s another bittersweet moment.
Less than a fortnight ago, Susie and husband Rob Daniels were celebrating the news that they were at last to be parents, twice over. Fate, which snatched away their first baby in a life-threatening ectopic pregnancy earlier this year, finally seemed to be smiling on their dreams.
Yet it was not to be. A week later, the couple were shattered when they were told doctors could detect only one heartbeat…
