The 53-year-old star, who appeared on Britainโs Got Talent in 2009, told the Sunday Mail newspaper that having a child would make her โso happyโ.
โI have so much love to give. I want to adopt a child who doesnโt have much, who I can really give something to. Weโll have to see what social services say, but it would make me so happy,โ she said.
Susan has reportedly already started the adoption process, but said many people think she is joking.
โI know Iโm single and 50-odd,โ she said. People donโt think Iโm serious when I say it, they have a giggle at me. Letโs see.โ
Last year, Susan told HELLO! magazine that she suffers from Asperger syndrome โ a form of autism that affects communication and social interaction.
โItโs hard but having Aspergerโs doesnโt mean I canโt get on with a normal life,โ she said at the time.
โAny change in life, so quickly, is stressful because one minute youโre at home with your cat and the next youโre away with all of the camera people. Now Iโm getting used to it; I have to get used to touring.โ
