Singing sensation Susan Boyle has hinted that she has finally landed her first boyfriend – at the age of 53.
The Scottish born songstress, who shot to fame on UK TV show Britain’s Got Talent says that she met her new love interest on tour in the US earlier this year.

In an interview with the UK’s The Sun, Susan said that the pair met when they were both staying at the same hotel in the US and that the pair dined together a romantic dinner date, during which he was the “perfect gentleman”.
“It’s very early days so we’ll see what happens,” said Susan. “I hope he comes over [to the UK].
“I don’t want to say any more about who he is right now as that would be unfair on him,” she said.
“All I’ll say is we are around the same age and he was a very nice guy.”
Despite her immense popularity, Susan has struggled finding love, revealing last year to the Mail that she was diagnosed with Asperger’s syndrome.
“I don’t see my Asperger’s as a disability – I see it as an opportunity for people to understand and stop prejudging,” Susan said.
“I like to see myself as someone with a problem, but one I can solve. It is definitely getting better.
“I hope that the awareness created will help other people to see that just because you have a diagnosis, it doesn’t need to limit your opportunities in life. You can go out and achieve whatever you darn well want!”

Susan’s speculative new love interest comes not long after Susan revealed her desire to adopt a child.
“I want to give a youngster what I didn’t have,” Susan, told the UK’sSunday Mail.
While Susan realises the odds may be against her, she remains hopeful that her dream will soon become a reality.
“I know I’m single and 50-odd. People don’t think I’m serious when I say it, they have a giggle at me. Let’s see.”
