Positively glowing in her shoot for The Weekly’s November issue, Robyn exclusively reveals that she and her beau of three and a half years, Everest Schmidt are expecting their first child.
“I’m about six months pregnant,” Robyn tells The Australian Women’s Weekly of the bub due in early February.
“It wasn’t that big of a shock. We were excited when we found out.”
The former Vogue Italia cover girl’s career is currently soaring with appearances in international campaigns for clothing ranges, Violeta By Mango, Chantelle lingerie and hugely successful house of threads, Ralph Lauren but she calls her venture into motherhood her “most important job to date”.
“With modelling, it’s never a good time to fall pregnant, but Everest and I were going to start trying for a family in a few years anyway,” explains Robyn.
In the wide-ranging interview, the 25-year-old model-turned mogul also discusses her businesses – a swim label, Robyn Lawley Swimwear, and cookbook, Robyn Lawley Eats – and of course body image, with particular reference to that pesky “plus-size” label that often precedes her.
“A lot of people write to me telling me I should be ashamed of myself because I am contributing to body dysmorphia and that really hurts,” says Robyn.
“I never gave myself the title ‘plus-size’, I was just happy to model at any size.”
