To celebrate Summer Bay’s hottest star returning, we check out Brax, aka Steve Peacocke’s finest moments – on and off screen!
Our hearts broke when the 33-year-old star left the Channel 7 soapie to pursue a career in Hollywood but now the star has returned to film a series of scenes for Home and Away.
Speaking of his surprise return he told the Sunday Telegraph, “It is a nice little surprise. It was a good story the producers put to me, so I thought it is a nice way to see everyone for a bit.”
And we couldn’t agree more.
The Logie Award-winner, who married Bridgette Sneddon in 2012, isn’t just a talented actor. Born in Dubbo, New South Wales, Steve is a talented rugby league player who has worked as a jackaroo, a labourer before going on to study communications at the University of Newcastle.
Speaking to Kyle and Jackie O in 2013, Steve reflected: “I finished university then I was a labourer for five-and-a-half, six years. All those jobs that weren’t that glamorous and then theatre at night. I was a thespian.”
“I played rugby for years and years and when [my friends] found out, they’d turn up to plays and heckle me at the show. Since I was 16 [I’ve loved acting.]”
Steve poses with his Logie for Most Popular New Male Talent at the 2012 Logie Award ceremony.
Bad boy Brax shares a laugh between takes.
The Home and Away gang jet to London to film special end of year episodes, gotta love Steve repping the iconic Aussie flannie shirt.
Just a quick surf check… but feel free to keep it going all day.
“I want to be in film now, and I’ve been lucky enough to get a bit of work. You just take everything as it comes.”
“It’s surprising, I think Brax is probably a bit of a sexy character, but me, I’m pretty ordinary. I’m a lot less cool,” he told Who in 2014.
Brax and Ricky, played by Bonnie Sveen, share a moment in the ocean.
We can’t decide if Steve looks better without a shirt or in a suit?

We can’t get enough of Brax and his brooding on-screen presence.
Ahh, doing what he does best… The old gaze and smoulder.
Last year, Steve married his stunning Home and Away co-star Bridgette Sneddon. “He’s such a great actor, so I love any chance I get to work with him,” she explained to TV Week.
