Stars react to Philip Seymour Hoffman's sudden death

Philip Seymour Hoffman’s sudden death has shocked Hollywood with numerous stars taking to twitter to voice their grief and sympathy.

The 46-year-old actor, [who died of a reported drug overdose in his New York apartment, has been remembered as a brilliant and talented actor.

George Clooney kept his statement heartfelt but brief. “There are no words,” he said. “It’s just terrible.” George directed and starred with Philip in The Ides of March.

And he wasn’t the only one, as numerous other stars shared an outpuring of love and respect for the actor, including those who knew him and those who didn’t.

Ellen Degeneres: “Philip Seymour Hoffman was a brilliant, talented man. The news this morning is shocking and sad. My heart goes out to his loved ones.”

Vanessa Hudgens: “Wow. Philip Seymour Hoffman, My heart hurts to lose him. SUCH a talented man. Truly, One of a kind. He will be so very missed. RIP”.
