Sophie Monk is being cautioned that she’ll be left in tears should she go through with her plans to marry boyfriend Joshua Gross.
Speaking to Woman’s Day, an insider reveals that Joshua “knows how to break a heart”, and left his now ex-wife “devastated’ when he suddenly ended their seven-year marriage last year.
“She couldn’t believe it [when Josh ended things],” reveals a close friend, who asked to remain anonymous.
“They were uni sweethearts. She honestly thought they were perfect for each other and would be together forever.”
Love Island host Sophie revealed last November that she’d fallen hard for a mystery man, later revealed to be Joshua, after meeting on an international flight.

They even shared a sky high kiss!
“I’ve never been so happy,” Sophie later gushed.
“When his divorce goes through we are talking about getting married… on the Gold Coast in a back garden.”

While Sophie, 39, insisted only last week that there was “no headline in this relationship,” our source reveals that their romance has been very tough for Josh’s ex.
“It was like a slap in the face to her, and all their friends and family, when Sophie then went public saying they’re going to get married.”
